Windermere Rotarians welcomed local illustrator
Andy Crabtree of Lyontree Studios in Winter Garden to their
weekly meeting Aug. 15 at Windermere Town Hall. Crabtree,
a Florida native, graduated of Auburn University with a major
in visual communications and has worked as a children's publishing
illustrator and art director for Walt Disney World. He is
also a graduate of West Orange High School.
At the meeting, Crabtree discussed his new book,
Many Moods of Maddie, which he illustrated for author Suanne
Margaret Hastings.

Crabtree and his wife, Tabitha, have 2 small
children and live in Winter Garden.
At the Aug. 8 Rotary Club meeting, members heard
an informative talk by Jim Maurer, president of First Choice
Pest Control.
He discussed termites and the potential structural
damage the insects can cause to homes and other buildings,
as well as two basic types of termite insurance. He informed
the club that bed bugs are becoming a national and international
problem and can be transported in luggage.
